Specifically the Project will consider the cultural values and assumptions among four national groups, their writing practices (IT mediated), and the implications this may have for the use of electronic detection systems. It will also develop and deliver well-researched guidelines and resources for lecturers and students in each of these areas.

This will involve some national and international travel. As the only full-time member of the team, you will be required to manage and drive the project and be responsible for disseminating the findings through reports, brochures and workshops. Excellent qualitative research skills and written communication skills are essential, and you will have the ability to work independently and in a group. With management, organization and reporting skills, you will have excellent IT skills (MS Office, Internet, project management software) and innovation skills research and work practices.
> The role would suit someone with a PhD (or near completion) in the area of linguistics or educational research, though other relevant areas will be considered. The contract will be for three years and the researcher will be based in Lancaster.
