Subject: Re: Seeking External Examiner for HE Academy D1 Programme
This is a reply to all of you who have posted seeking external examiners, I'm not singling Karen out, it's just that this finds me with a spare 5 minutes.
I've looked with interest at your posts because I have considered becoming an EE, believing it would contribute to my professional development and that I would have something to contribute in return.
The person spec almost always says that previous experience of external examining is essential for the role. So my question to you as a would be examiner with no previous experience is - what can I do? And what will you do to develop the people you need to run your courses as the current policy inevitably results in you seeking replacement EEs from an ever dwindling pool?
Regards
Janette
