This full-time post is available until 31 July 2009. As a key member of the staff development team in the University VLE project, you will contribute to the development of e-learning materials by joining a team of learning technologists and e-learning trainers. You will be responsible for all aspects of graphic/interface design within the team and will provide creative ideas for page layout, interface and icon origination for all aspects of our paper and web-based materials. You will be involved in projects ranging from our support web pages to full-scale interactive e-learning applications.
You must have excellent design skills and be able to demonstrate an impressive portfolio of concepts, layouts and finished projects for paper and interactive media. You will be fully competent with Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash software and also have demonstrable experience of implementing designs with HTML and CSS. Experience of usability concepts and accessibility will be required as will an appreciation of where your role fits within the e-learning materials development life-cycle.
