TECHNOLOGY, PEDAGOGY AND INNOVATION

8th Annual EDINEB International Conference

June 20 - 22, 2001

EDHEC School of Management, Nice, France
In collaboration with Formations Hommes et Conseils

Sponsored by the Internet Education Company: Unext.com
(www.Unext.com)
---------------------------

The EDINEB 2001 International Conference is designed as a learning
platform for innovation across the boundaries between management
education, knowledge creation, technology or business. Our aim is to
spark new ways of understanding how these boundaries can be transformed
into opportunities for collaborative learning and high performance.
It is no accident that this year's conference is located in Nice. This
magnificent city stands out as a center for high technology. The
conference is hosted at the EDHEC School of Management, Nice campus. The
environment we have chosen offers a unique opportunity for assimilating
contrasting professional perspectives and reflecting on what matters
most in sharing knowledge.

We welcome abstract submissions on the following themes:
* New learning technologies in business and business education
* Distance delivery of innovative business education
* Self-learning skills as a key factor of success in distance learning
  programs
* Individual and collaborative learning: What's specific when you can't
  meet?
* The design, implementation and use of collaborative tools such as
e-mail, discussion groups, chat systems, whiteboards and shared
  workspaces.
* Methods of active learning
* Creative / innovative pedagogy in management education
* Team performance, team learning and team assessment
* Knowledge creation & (Re)design of knowledge management
* Research on the value of technology driven business education

Guidelines for Abstracts

Abstracts (500 word maximum) should contain author(s) name(s),
title/position, institution, address, telephone, fax number, and email
address. Abstracts will be published in the official program.

Abstract submissions should be received on or before December 1, 2000:

Email: [log in to unmask]

http://www.edineb.net/

Guidelines for Publication

A selection of conference papers will be considered for publication in
the EDINEB series: Educational Innovation in Economics and Business
Volume 8, published by Kluwer Academic Publishers. Information about the
EDINEB publication series can be found at http://www.wkap.nl/

Conference Organizers

The eighth EDINEB conference is organized in collaboration with EDHEC
School of Management (campuses in Lille and Nice), and Formations Hommes
et Conseils (Paris, France). EDHEC is one of the largest institutions
for business studies in France (http://edu.edhec.com). Formations Hommes
et Conseils (http://www.fhc.fr/) is a training and consulting firm
specialized in adult education, skills and change management consulting.
The organizing groups have an established reputation in the fields of
corporate training, business research and the development of innovative
learning platforms.

The EDINEB Network
At the December 1993 EDINEB Conference (Maastricht, the Netherlands) the
EDINEB Network was founded to serve as a continual basis for exchanging
experiences and knowledge about educational innovation in economics and
business. Among the activities of this Network are workshops, providing
expertise about innovations, publications (Series on Educational
Innovation in Economics and Business, published by Kluwer Academic
Publishers), international conferences, and other forms of exchange.
Network members have served both education and industry in the
development of innovative practices across Europe and the United States.
Information about EDINEB can be found at: http://www.edineb.net/
