As part of this University's internal academic audit arrangements, we're
reviewing policy and practice in the provision of learning and teaching
materials, coving provision through the University Library, through student
acquisition, et al (including electronic resources).
The review will be asking questions about the use of departmental funds for
library materials, (about what goes on learning materials and what on
research materials for staff), about multiple purchase, about the provision
of handouts (free and at cost), et al.
We'll anonymise our report, featuring good practice and making
recommendations. We're due to report in May.
If your institution has done anything similar in recent times, and we could
have access to it eg to your methodology or questionnaire, I'd be grateful
for help. As is usual, we'll be pleased to share our findings with those who
respond with their experience.
With best wishes,
Arnold
