The University of Stirling would like to announce the following posts within
the field of Academic Innovation. They will also be advertised in the Times
Higher Educational Supplement and The Herald on 3 September 1999.
Teaching Fellow in Academic Innovation
University of Stirling
Coalition for Learning Innovation (CLI)
Applicants are invited for the above post within the Division of Academic
Innovation and Continuing Education (DAICE). The successful applicant will
contribute to the development of existing cross-university academic
initiatives and join a team promoting innovation in teaching and learning
across the University.
The post requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication and
networking skills, and a commitment to collaborative working. Above all,
candidates should have a sympathy for quality research, sound scholarship
and a commitment to learning that underpin the academic endeavour.
Preference will be given to candidates with an awareness and interest in
innovative developments in teaching and learning in H.E., including the use
of communications and information technology.
The appointment will be for 3 years in the first instance, with the
possibility of renewal.
Salary will be within the Lecturer A/B Salary Scale £16,655-£29,048 (point
5-18).

Online/Multimedia Learning Developer
University of Stirling
Coalition for Learning Innovation (CLI)
Applicants are invited for the above post within the Division of Academic
Innovation and Continuing Education (DAICE). This post provides an
opportunity to contribute to cross-University initiatives, promoting
innovation in teaching and learning using C&IT. Applicants should be
qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject area such as
computing and have a high level of technical expertise, with web development
and maintenance skills.
The post requires effective collaborative team-working, and a willingness to
learn new skills, undertake technology foresight, and investigate, test and
deploy innovative technologies. The post holder will provide expert
technological input to developments in teaching and learning across the
University, including a state-of-the-art interactive website, and will have
a sensitivity for pedagogic issues underpinning effective use of C&IT.
The appointment will be for 3 years in the first instance. Salary will be
within the Academic Related Grade 2 £18,275-£23,651 (point 7-13).
