Do you find yourself a person short for the start of the academic year or first semester? In need of casual, but experienced, support for educational development, facility induction, international student orientation?
Between submitting my doctoral thesis and heading back to New Zealand (anyone want to buy a house in Abingdon-on-Thames?) I'm happy to act as a 'substitute teacher' if anyone find themselves a person short for days, weeks or possibly a couple of months.
I've had 20+ years in UK and NZ as an academic developer, learning designer and educational technologist. I was Head of the Centre for Learning Development at Hull (2003-2008) and Director of Teaching and Learning at Massey University NZ (2008-2010). More recently I was Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching at BPP (2011-2018). Also worked at the Open University and the LSE in academic development roles. I've delivered and supported four different institutions' accredited PGcert provision, designed and managed BPP University's in-house pathway to HEA recognition and have delivered induction or development sessions in the last 20 years on most enhancement themes.
Happy to consider any specific needs, anywhere in the country.
Off-list replies obviously!!
