Dear all
I am currently writing a manuscript highlighting my plans to use online
discussion forums to enhance student learning and would like to
acknowledge established findings.
I would be interested, therefore, to hear from anyone who has published
findings on good practise in tackling problems in relation to student
contributions to online discussion forums as part of their course work.
I have two specific problems in mind, namely a)student inhibitions
about revealing weaknesses in understanding (leading to
non-participation) and b) the case of the parasite who feels entitled to
take credit for other persons' contributions to group work. However,
please feel free to highlight other problems in this area *that you have
published on* if you feel inclined.
Please note, I am not asking anyone to do a google search for me or any
other form of literature search; I am simply checking whether anyone on
this list would like me to acknowledge their findings.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes
Margaret
