Dear Colleagues,
Just a quick note to remind you that our early registration period is
drawing to a close. Register by May 1 and save $200 on the registration
cost. If you have been meaning to get around to registering, now is the
time. A detailed version of program sessions has been posted. The
Institute will be held June 24-29, 2007, in Canada's capital city,
Ottawa, Ontario. Sessions will be held on the campus of the University
of Ottawa and accommodations located in campus student residences or in
hotels just a short walk from campus. The principal co-sponsors of the
2007 Institute include the POD Network in Higher Education, the
University of Ottawa, the University of Waterloo, and the Institute for
the Advancement of Teaching in Higher Education. The institute's web

The five-day intensive and hands-on program is designed to:
* help new faculty developers feel at ease in their positions
* provide a theoretical and practical framework for effective
instructional design and consulting
* guide those responsible for establishing and managing centres for
teaching and learning
* assist in planning for program, professional development, and
administrative needs
The Institute is geared toward:
* new faculty developers
* individuals interested in pursuing a career in faculty / educational
development
* experienced faculty developers seeking to enhance their knowledge or
skills
* persons charged with the task of establishing a centre for teaching
and learning
* individuals responsible for organising, directing, implementing or
chairing committees for faculty development activities in higher
education.
