Dear All
A booklet has been developed specifically for HE tutors in developing
countries, particularly on the African continent, by myself and two
colleagues from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Imelda Bates
and Helen Nabwera. Imelda was the driving force behind its completion.
Whilst it was doing the rounds of consultation and editing, a number of
people commented that it may be of value to some staff here in the UK.
We are not selling the booklet, it is freely available from the Trop Med
website,
http://www.liv.ac.uk/lstm/student/documents/education_handbook.pdf , and
I thought I would use this extensive contact list to try to see that it
is accessed by anyone who might find it useful.
It is a basic, straightforward account of some of the key issues related
to QA in HE, and not intended to be a learned thesis!
We hope you will find it interesting, and pass it on to anyone who might
benefit from the information.
Regards
Sue
