The Networked Learning 2004 Conference is a research-based conference on
networked learning in Higher Education and Lifelong Learning.
Early bird registration has been extended until February 13th. You can

Provisional symposia, paper and poster titles are now available on our
conference website.
There will be an opening address by Professor David Boud, University of
Technology, Sydney.
The Conference will conclude with an invited panel discussion on policy and

The Conference
This is the fourth Networked Learning Conference. Our previous conferences
have welcomed researchers, practitioners, students, policy makers, staff
developers and managers from across the globe. Some attendees travelled from
as far as India, Hong Kong, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and North
America to this three day conference.
Those attending the conference have told us that it is a very friendly event
during which it is easy to get to know people, share experiences and
generally network. Attendees appreciate the care we take to welcome them and
ensure they have a useful and enjoyable three days.
The conference format of research symposia and individual papers allows
ample
time for discussion and networking. The themes of the conference are:
* e-learning, e-tutoring
* distributed communities
* working across boundaries
* international and cross cultural issues
* relationships between research, theory, policy and practice
* institutional innovation and sustainability
* methodologies for researching NL
* new technologies for supporting NL
* designing for learning networked learning
The conference includes a special dissemination event for the European
Commission supported project EQUEL on E-Quality in E-learning
The venue this year is the beautiful campus of Lancaster University,
situated
on the borders of the Lake District in the north of England where there is
some of the country's most glorious countryside.
The Early Bird residential delegate fee for the three day conference which
includes accommodation, meals and conference dinner ranges from £355-£495,
(£280 non residential). A discounted fee of £300 is available for full time
