implications of the White Paper for
* staff and educational development
* To share ideas and strategies on issues raised by the White
Paper
* To provide 'time out' for planning and reflection, stimulated by
brief presentations
* To provide an opportunity to contribute to the SEDA response to
the White Paper

* Intended Outcomes
* The day has been planned to enable participants to gain:
* Greater clarity regarding the implications of the White Paper
for our practice
* Increased knowledge through discussion and debate with
colleagues
* New ideas and perspectives from colleagues across HE and FE
* An opportunity to highlight support needs

* Processes
* The day will comprise 4 short presentations led by colleagues
from across the sector, each followed
* by group and plenary discussion on the following themes:
* Rewarding performance
* The Cooke Report and Quality Enhancement
* Research v teaching and learning?
* FE - collaboration or competition?
