Learning Development Officer
Learning and Teaching Centre
DIT is Ireland's largest educational institute with 22,000 students. A
Learning and Teaching Centre has been established within the Directorate
of Academic Affairs. The unit provides workshops in teaching and
learning
to academic staff, offers a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and
Masters
in Third Level Learning and Teaching, and assists academic staff in the
areas of teaching effectiveness, assessment, curriculum design,
computer-based
learning, and distance learning.
Requirements:
You should have a first or second class honours degree in an appropriate
discipline, plus a minimum of three years relevant post-graduate
experience. A higher degree is essential. Research in the area of
Learning and Teaching is desirable. The candidate needs to be an
effective team worker with good communication skills. Candidates with
varied
learning development experience in higher education are encouraged to
apply. Individuals with experience in any of the following areas may be
interested in the post: assessment, curriculum design, thesis
supervision, educational management development, instructional design,
educational
psychology, and presentation skills.
Salary Scale: IR?29,005 - IR?45,856
