The SEDA Fellowship
-------------------
Accreditation for Professionals who work in Staff and Educational
Development in Higher Education
Becoming A SEDA Fellowship Holder
The Beeches Management Centre, Birmingham
11th March 1999, 10.30am - 4pm
This workshop is designed for people with a staff and educational
development commitment who are considering, or may have newly registered
for the SEDA Fellowship or Associate Fellowship.
The Fellowship is a practice-based programme for staff and educational
developers to develop and gain professional recognition for this area of
their work. A leaflet describing the scheme is obtainable from SEDA
Office (tel: 0121 440 5021) or via our web page at:
http://www.seda.demon.co.uk/fellow.html
Participants in the workshop will explore the aims and processes of the
Fellowship, in particular the issues around the compilation of a
portfolio, the kinds of evidence which can be used and how to present
it, the time commitment, different approaches, the role of the mentor,
and assessment.
The twin aims overall are to enable new registrants to "get going" and
to enable others to decide if the Fellowship would meet their needs.
To register please complete the application form available from the SEDA
Office. An on-line registration form can be found at:
http://www.seda.demon.co.uk/started.html
The fee is £35 per person (to include beverages and lunch).
Apologies for cross postings.
