Most Lecture Capture software provides a means of recording from your desktop. Recording this with the students' video playing on your screen, you can pause the video and comment on the content. This not only presents your content in an engaging way but ensures that your students watch their video again to get the comments. Such reflection is almost as valuable as the feedback!
We use Panopto which has the further advantage of being able to easily edit out any errors. Just be silent for a moment and repeat what you wanted to say (making a note to go back and edit it out).
I have seen this used in performing arts but would suggest it would work well for any discipline where a video is being assessed. Of course this could also be used to record comments on any assessment that you can look at on your screen.
