Hi all
I have used Bloom's taxonomy to design six activities, one for each level, to teach a single topic (blood pressure control) in physiology to first year Pharmacy students. My goal was to teach the topic deeply - not the usual mile-wide and inch-thick routine.
Knowledge - Canvas quiz - match terms to definitions
Comprehension - Canvas quiz - replace missing words to make sense of a text
Application - rearrange a puzzle to make sense of a process
Analyse - analyse some real data relevant to the topic
Synthesis - use an online physiology model to create a person with a problem with blood pressure
Evaluation - use the physiology model to treat another person with the same problem with blood pressure.
I'm giving a talk on this next week. Happy to share slides with those who are interested.
Best,
Mark
