Hi Ruth
It probably goes beyond your remit, but I would give the Irish answer and suggest you did not start from here!
For me the most exciting issue in HE relates to the broader topic of 'students as partners'. But then I would say that! If interested, see some of the resources on SaP on my website.
Best wishes
Mick

Subject: Thoughts on student support
Dear colleagues,
I am planning a postgraduate taught module focused on student support and personal tutoring for our MA in Academic Practice and I wanted - as I was encouraged to do at the wonderful SEDA conference last week - to draw on the expertise of colleagues as part of this. So I'd be interested in your thoughts on the following:
1. What is the most interesting/stimulating/valuable (you pick the positive adjective) work currently being done under the broad heading of 'student support'? Who is doing it and what have they written/published? (And you can recommend your own stuff!)
2. What do you think is the single most important issue relating to student support that faces us as education/staff developers in UK HE right now?
Any ideas welcome!
Happy weekends everyone...
Best wishes
Ruth
