Dear Colleagues, a video of Rosie Miles' recent public lecture on Social Media in Higher Education is now available at: https://vimeo.com/209178081
Rosie is a National Teaching Fellow (2011) and is currently the holder of the University of Wolverhampton Students' Union's 'Cutting Edge Teaching Style' Award. In the lecture, she recounts her experiences of teaching English literature using a social media approach, and considers how ‘teaching as gift’ allows academics to explore reciprocity and exchange through playful moments.
Other public lectures can be found at: https://vimeo.com/uogedu/videos , including January's lecture by Graham Gibbs entitled "The TEF has got it wrong, and could well make things worse, so what should we be paying attention to if we want to improve student learning?"
Thanks for your attention and interest.
