Hello Everyone,
At Keele, we are looking to change the assessment process for our teaching awards. Currently we have a staff and student panel that assess the applications. However numbers of applications are so high at the moment it has been proposed that we use a pre-panel sifting process rather than a larger number of staff and students on a single panel dividing up the applications among them, so that each is viewed by say 2-3 people. I'd be really keen to hear the practices in place in other Universities and in particular, if you do use a pre-panel, what is the role then of the final panel in decision making?
I will collate all responses and feed back to the list variations in the models that are shared by you.
Thanks and best wishes,
Jackie Potter
