Dear SEDA colleagues,
I am setting up an informal, international networking group for
educational developers interested in creating and / or using open
educational resources (OER) to support their work. I am facilitating
this group as part of my HEA/JISC-funded OER project to produce open
materials to support academic staff to explore their practice within
their discipline-based context.
If you would like to know more about this group or my project, do pop
along to a brief, 10 minute meeting I am holding at the SEDA Conference
on Thursday 17th November at 5pm (more details in the conference
handbook). If you aren't able to attend this meeting, I will be holding
a webinar in December (watch this space for more details!) - so hope to
meet with you then.
After the OER network meeting, I will be hosting the conference reading
group. The article for consideration is from 2001 and will give us the
opportunity to reflect back on ten years of e-learning:
Steel, J. & Hudson, A. (2001): Educational Technology in Learning and
Teaching: The Perceptions and Experiences of Teaching Staff, Innovations
in Education and Teaching International, 38:2, 103-111
Looking forward to seeing you at the conference or connecting with you
online soon!
Best wishes,
Helen
