Many thanks to those of you who found the time to reply to my questions. The responses will be invaluable. I need to write something next Monday, so if anyone else has anything to contribute please drop me a line or two. Any comments - doesn’t need to be a direct answer to any of the original questions – reproduced below.
Thanks
John

Original questions:
1 Does your institution have separate qualifications for those qualifying to work in FE as opposed to HE, and/or do you have any dual qualifications – which are mapped against the UK PSF and the LLUK standards?
2 What was the rationale for the decisions that were made in answer to question 1; and to what extent do you think the two standards frameworks are compatible?
3 Do you currently run any courses/modules/workshops aimed at preparing people to work at the HE/FE interface (for example, modules which might help prepare FE teachers to undertake HE work, or vice versa)? And would you be happy to share them as examples of the kinds of CPD that others in need of similar preparation might consider?
4 If you have taken part in either or both of the current reviews (LLUK and/or HEA) do you have any strong views which might relate to any of the above?
