Dear Colleague
We are pleased to announce The University of Sheffield Fifth Annual Learning and Teaching Conference on Monday, 10 January 2011 "Identifying what we offer: preparing students to move on”.
Are you concerned about the changes that are in store for our universities and what the effects will be on teaching and students? This year’s conference aims to consider these issues in the context of a research-led institution. Sessions will clearly address common teaching problems and hopefully give you some ideas that are transferable to your context.
With over 28 parallel sessions and 70 presenters from every level and Faculty at our University, this conference is trying to be relevant to something that a wide cross-section of University staff do. In teaching master classes over lunch, top researchers, who have also been recognised as inspirational by students, will show and discuss actual teaching techniques more practically.
Find out more about the conference and registration here (register/pre-book for just one session or all of them, lunch on the day, the deadline for this is Dec. 31st): http://www.shef.ac.uk/lets/conference11
Best wishes and happy holidays,
Nadine
