Learning Development Support Officer (online/WebCT)
The Centre for Academic Practice at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh
wishes to appoint an individual who will contribute to and support the
continuing deployment of learning technologies at the University. You will
have technical responsibility for our Virtual Learning Environment (WebCT)
and will maintain and administer the WebCT Servers. You will also be
involved in training and advising staff in using the VLE and pro-actively
contribute to new initiatives in online learning at the University.
You should have: a good honours degree, preferably in an IT-related
discipline; good technical skills including knowledge and experience in
design and management of online learning; and some knowledge of the
administration and support of VLEs, preferably with some experience of
database management. You should also have good communication skills
(verbal, written and electronic). You should be enthusiastic, innovative,
ambitious and able to work under pressure. Experience of using WebCT or
equivalent would be an advantage.
Salary up to £19,862 - £24,402 (depending on experience)
