Senior Academic Development Adviser & PGCAP Course Leader £35,482 – £43,638
Are you an experienced university practitioner wishing to make a notable
contribution to the enhancement of learning and teaching? Are you
looking to further develop your career in relation to academic and
professional development? The Centre for Learning Development is looking
for a Senior Academic Development Adviser who has specialised knowledge
in academic development, or is an experienced lecturer who can
demonstrate significant engagement in furthering learning and teaching.
Working strategically across the University to promote the scholarship
of learning and teaching you will be involved in developing joint
pedagogical research projects with Schools as well as providing
consultancy, workshops and development events. Your duties will also
include course leadership of the University’s Postgraduate Certificate
in Academic Practice, so a thorough understanding of current theory and
practice in relation to learning and teaching in higher education is
essential, as is a record of scholarly achievement. You will have a
minimum of three years’ teaching experience in HE and will have a PhD or
other higher degree, together with a qualification in teaching in HE. A
particular interest in enquiry based learning and the use of
questionnaire data to promote quality enhancement are also desirable.
