Northumbria University is looking for a Principal Lecturer in Academic
Practice. It's a good time to be joining us as we start both a new
programme in academic practice and a new Centre for Excellence in Learning &
Teaching ! We'd be really grateful if you could draw this to the attention

post.

Job Summary
The Principal Lecturer will lead programmes in academic practice and
undertake research and development within the Centre for Excellence in
Assessment for Learning (CETL AfL). Our well-established programmes in
university teaching & learning for new lecturers have recently been extended
and Northumbria now offers a range of continuing professional development
programmes in academic practice ranging from postgraduate certificate to
professional doctorate. HEFCE funding has been awarded for the CETL AfL
which is a major focus for development, evaluation, pedagogic research and
dissemination. We are seeking someone with experience in
academic/educational development and a track record in related research, to
work with an enthusiastic and innovative team, and with colleagues from
across a university that is committed to excellence in learning, teaching
and the student experience.
