I'm in the process of writing a proposal for a European project which
will involve, for each of the (non-UK) countries involved, the
creation and development of a Learning and Teaching Centre in one
'lead' university followed by a network of centres in the others .
Do you have any experiences of planning and managing such an
enterprise, whether here or in other countries? I'm particularly
interested in how the operation can best be sequenced (a) in the face
of likely institutional inertia and (b) to maximise interest and
participation in an academic culture unused to such innovations.
