Apologies for cross-posting
Dear colleagues
I attach details of the conference which takes as its theme 'How Can
Creativity be Taught?'
The conference involves a partnership between the Imaginative Curriculum
Network, NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts
- the organisation that invests in UK creativity and innovation) and the
University of Hertfordshire. NESTA and the LTSN Generic Centre are part
funding the conference to keep the costs to participants to a minimum.
We want to use the conference to extend our thinking on creativity in
higher education and expand our understanding of how teaching can
encourage and help develop students' creativity. The results of two
research studies commissioned for the project aimed at understanding
students' perceptions of creativity in HE will also be reported.
I do hope that you will be able to support the event. If you cannot
attend you can still contribute to the knowledge building process by
providing a short account of a teaching
and learning activity in which you have tried to promote students'
creativity. Four prompts
are provided in the attachment to aid the writing process. All the
knowledge we develop through the process will be made available to
participants and the network.
Please circulate this notice to any colleagues who you feel might be
interested in the event. Information and registration forms can be found
