The HELP conference is to be held at Universities UK, London, on Monday
7th
April 2003. We believe it provides a unique opportunity for those
supporting
land-based FE and HE students to consider some of the key challenges
facing us,
including:
* Student Progression and Transfer from FE to HE and from HND to
Degree
* Incorporating Work-Related Learning into the Curriculum
* Skills Development for Employability and Lifelong Learning
The sessions are based around three projects undertaken by Harper Adams
University College and the universities of Plymouth and Newcastle, in
collaboration with other FE and HE partners. Speakers include
representatives
from Lantra (the sector skills council for the land-based sector), HEFCE
and the Learning & Teaching Support Network.
Full details, including a booking form, can be found at
www.spat.ac.uk/help.
Please note the deadline of 21st March 2003.
We look forward to meeting colleagues from across the sector. If you
have any
queries, please don't hesitate to contact Abigail Hind (amhind@harper-
