Hi!
** Apologies for cross-posting **
Has your institution ever (well, over the last 5 to 10 years!) organised any
kind of major IT or ICT *awareness* events? It may have been through the
computing or information service, or staff development or...
I'm well aware that some HEIs have run week-long or even term-long events
with an awareness focus specifically on IT in learning and teaching, or on
library applications, but I'm interested to know about events that have
sought - in a fairly concentrated fashion - to raise awareness of *the
breadth* of ICT in its application to HE tasks of all kinds.
The reason I'm asking is that I ran an 'ICT Awareness Week' here at UEA in
the Autumn, with 41 events during the week, and I'm now writing up the
outcomes - including results of post-event surveys just done. What I'd like
to do is compare with the experiences of others (if there are any!) or if
this happens to be 'a first' then I need to think about writing it up more
formally, to share with the sector.
Anyone run, or can put me in touch with someone who has run, a similar sort
of event?
Paddy
