The LTSN Generic Centre are looking to commisson a guide on 'Students
Mentoring Students' as part of a series of Summary Guides on key issues
associated with widening participation. The guide will provide up-to-date
knowledge and a conceptual map to provide non-specialists a framework for
their practice.
The Guides aim to provide summaries to highlight, in a readily accessible
form, five key issues for successful student learning (see below).
The target audience would be Learning and Teaching intermediaries, to
customise for their own subject needs and
academics with an interest in pedagogic underpinnings to their teaching.
Format of the guide would be:
1. Introduction
2. Key principles
3. Key issues
4. Indicators of good practice (or quality measures)
5. Basic underlying theories/concepts/models
6. Useful references and web-links
