Hello everyone!
I am writing to (1) tell you about our activities in creating a
catalog of ALN programs (online degree and certificate programs)
and (2) to invite you to become part of the activities of the
Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C).
If you will examine:
http://www.sloan-c.org
You will find a catalog that lists over 100 programs contributed by
members of the Sloan Consortium, a group of institutions originally
defined by having received a grant from the Sloan Foundation for
one or more ALN projects. There is no intent to keep the membership
of the Sloan Consortium exclusionary, in fact, it is the intention
of the Sloan Foundation to expand the membership. Hence, we would
like to invite other institutions to become members of the Sloan
Consortium, simply by listing their complete degree or
certificate programs in the catalog.
In order to be listed in the catalog, there are several criteria
that need to be adhered to:
http://www.sloan-c.org/catalog/alncriteria.htm
If you are the director an ALN program and would like to enter
information, go to the catalog and click on the link called the
"Program Director's Corner" that is at the bottom of the catalog page:
http://www.sloan-c.org/catalog/directorlogin2.cfm
You may register on this page. We will review each program in-depth
with multiple reviewers who are already part of the Sloan Consortium.
A frequently asked questions (FAQ) page is available for program directors
at:
http://www.sloan-c.org/catalog/faqsubmit.htm
If you have questions or concerns, send either John Bourne
([log in to unmask]) or Frank Mayadas ([log in to unmask]) an
email.
Listing your program in the catalog is free. After your
program has been accepted, your institution will automatically become
a member of the Sloan Consortium.
Thanks for your interest.
