So pleased your AWE site has not disappeared, Peter - I was going to include it along with Andy's site in my previous post - but I had an old link and it did not redirect to your new site address. I saw the UCL AWE in my search results, but did not recommend it to Rosie since I had not seen it before - and was not sure if it was available to non UCL students. So thanks for the clarification on that ...
So, folks - just to reinforce that - I can thoroughly recommend Peter's AWE site - many students have found it very helpful to my knowledge- and so have I!

This may be accessed at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/english-usage/apps/awe/).

Its primary audience is undergraduate students at British universities, but it has proved useful for sixth formers and postgraduates as well. Some 10,430,000 people have consulted it sio far, so it is not pointless.

I am aware of Grammarly and have recommended that in the first instance, but I think they are looking for something that could be used during lessons and to design activities – if such a tool exists!
