I have been asked to formalise the 'relationship', between the Study Skills department (soon to be renamed Academic Skills), and the Faculties at the College, so that there are no ambiguities between what we can offer, how and when. There is to be no charging for our services-as yet-but it needs to be made clearer to Academic staff what we can realistically offer and how formalised this offer is, e.g. there needs to be a formal request form filled out so many working days before the service is, or is not, provided.
We are employed entirely within the Student Support department and are not subject to lecturing staff terms and conditions. Does anyone have a formal agreement which they would be willing to share, or is working towards one?
