Dear All,
For those interested in a social and participatory approach to induction, inclusion and retention, this experiential interactive workshop may be of particular interest.
"Student-Generated Induction: A Social Identity Approach" is taking place in Edinburgh on Tuesday November 14th.
The workshop will introduce a new theory and practice for inclusive learning applied to student induction and transition. You will gain first-hand experience of a structured, interactive and scalable approach to student-induction based on social science research. This measurable approach has already adopted by a variety of universities and colleges across different disciplines.
Student-Generated Induction has strong links to Students-As-Partners, Students-As-Producers in Education. It has already been recognised as an example of good practice by University of Queensland and the NUS partners:
The Student Engagement Partnership. As a result, this workshop has become an established event for sharing innovative practice with the aim of improving student retention, inclusion and widening participation.
