Subject: Smart Opportunity for Academic Development Units
Apologies for cross posting
Dear colleagues
You may be aware that a new open course on smart learning is being run over five days at the end of January. Interest in taking part is already phenomenal.
This may provide you and your team with an opportunity to support, and open thinking on, the subject of how personally owned smart technologies are changing the learning environment and our traditional understandings of teaching and learning.
The Media-Enhanced Learning SIG are running #BYOD4L (Bring Your Own Device for Learning) as a free open blended course for staff and students and have set out some ideas for academic development groups for running concurrent activities and to build on the momentum of the conversation locally.
You can find our suggestions here: http://melsig.shu.ac.uk/?p=478
We hope you find this helpful.
Best wishes
Andrew Middleton
