It's a great idea, Eloise - and it will be a very good project for our community to contribute to and comment on material for the entry via this list and ALDinHE.
Exciting stuff!

I agree George
As long as the Wiki itself is referenced properly, it can spring board researchers, or just the curious, off to the quotable, peer evaluated, published stuff.

The really nice thing aboot Wikipedia is not what you can or can’t reference from it, but where it can lead you to.
You might not want to reference what it says, but it’s not uncommon to use it as a launch platform from which to go boldly forth and find other stuff which is “reference-able”

Ha ha! Good point Ed. No lecturer at Solent would let you reference the Wikipedia page, even if it were written by such luminaries as the LDHEN list!

But am a bit out of practice
My recollection was that it was pretty straightforward though
Although it raises interesting questions about whether you could reference the page in a journal article

Good idea
Is anyone in the group already registered as a Wikipedia writer or editor? I have a feeling it's not an entirely straightforward process.
