Dear Colin,
We happily supported your Stage One of this project and will do so again with this second stage.
I have inserted a link to your 'Have your Say' webpage within our newly-launched eBridge VLE online course dedicated to Referencing. In addition, we will highlight it within some of our future publicity to students.
Cheers for now
[P.S. The new C-D-T referencing style is making progress, especially with the BSI / ISO link you urged me to pursue - and other areas too.]

Subject: International Students & Referencing
Dear Colleagues
During this academic year I will be collecting and analysing the
comments of international students on their experiences & perceptions
of referencing sources. I am particularly interested in their previous
experiences in their home countries of referencing sources in course
work; and their current experiences of referencing for UK course
assignments,
This is stage 2 of LearnHigher/Write Now CETL sponsored research that
started last year; a report for the first stage of the research, which
concerned the experiences of both home & international students, is
available on the LearnHigher site at
http://www.learnhigher.ac.uk/learningareas/referencing/resourcesforstaff.htm
A 'Have Your Say' online feedback facility for international students
has been put in place on the LearnHigher Referencing Learning Area,
and there are 12 x £25 book tokens available to encourage
international students to place comments on the site.
There will be a fortnightly random draw for the tokens over the next 6
months, and all students who leave comments will be entered for these
draws.
Have Your Say' can be accessed on
http://www.learnhigher.ac.uk/learningareas/referencing/have-your-say.htm
Last year, with your help, I was able to gather comments from 200+
students from 14 HE institutions, so I am hoping you will be kind
enough again to bring this facility to the attention of your
international student. Thanks in advance for this.
The result of the survey will be made available at a symposium at
Bradford next year in June: 'International Students, Writing &
Referencing'; details will be available in the New Year.
Best regards
Colin Neville
