I am rather inclined to agree with Becka and Sandie, this seems rather a strange way to voice frustration about the pay inequality and the attacks on the conditions of so many across the HE sector. I also question the validity of a 'virtual picket line' in the first place as most of the online communications I have with colleagues across the UK are not because I am paid to do so (indeed they sometimes occur because I wish to temporarily postpone that which I am being paid to do) and I am often online outside 'office hours'. I don't believe that talking to colleagues always constitutes work, although others may not say the same of me!

The irony being that they were checking their work emails in order to complain about the picket line being crossed in the first place…
AFAIK they are not on strike at Edge Hill University either.

UCU members are not on strike in Bournemouth but even if they were it is rather disappointing that LDHEN members can be virtual intimidators.

I didn’t realise this was a strike day – UCU Glasgow are not on strike today

I am rather disappointed with LDHEN members crossing the 'virtual' picket line on a UCU strike day - even if they are not union members.
