Thank you Jim, that's great to hear. And thank you to everyone who has responded both via this thread and to me directly; there's clearly a great deal of goodwill and support for such a group. Thanks and best wishes,
Alex

Myself and my colleagues at Abertay are also interested in being involved with a Scottish regions group,
A great chance to meet and work on joint projects,

Subject: Scottish Regions Group?
Potential Scottish Regions Group
There was some discussion among a few delegates from Scottish universities at the ALDinHE conference last week regarding establishing a Scottish Regions Group which would meet periodically to share practice and research and to explore the possibilities of collaborative development work.
As I have only recently joined the ALDinHE Research and Development Working Group, I naturally sought the advice of more experienced colleagues, and it was agreed that I should email the full LDHEN network to extend this conversation and establish the level of interest among Scottish learning development practitioners.
I am aware that there is a Scot-ELAs group who have met in the past and hopefully will continue to do so, but given the support, experience and resources available to ALDinHE through its position as a UK association, I wonder if there is an opportunity to formally establish a Scottish network?
All suggestions and responses are warmly welcomed (including ideas for proposed themes or projects).
Best wishes
Alex
