Dear Helen,
Can I just remind those interested in more innovative approaches to
induction & transition that there is a workshop in York on July 19th.
The workshop is entitled "Student-Generated Induction: A Social
Identity Approach" and details are attached. There is also an online
booking facility at http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/event/3821777038
We have developed this approach from doctoral research at the
University of Glasgow where it has since become the default strategy
in one faculty. Workshop participants will be able to share induction
and transition practices as well as experience this approach
first-hand.
Best wishes,
Nick

I must admit the theoretical debate did rather detract from the immediate job of assisting students in a stimulating way this summer, but certainly kept me stimulated. Thanks again.
