Dear all
Following on from John's 'Testing the water' email about sustainability as a strand for the conference in Plymouth, I think it might be a good idea to gather some learning developers' thoughts about exactly what sustainability might mean for learning development. Right now, I'm not entirely sure how such a strand for a conference would relate to our work. If it's linked to 'quality of life', for example, then this is something our team would probably include in advice we give to students on time management when discussing study/life balance. For me, LDHEN conferences are helpful because they tend to feature issues - or indeed successes - that pertain directly to learning. The main concern I have at the moment is that the inclusion of this theme might dilute some of the immediate and 'hands on' information, knowledge and practice that I take away from our conferences.
What do others think?
