Dear all
Your students, and perhaps you too, may be interested in the Harper
Collins 'Authonomy' site to attract new writing:fiction and
non-fiction, although the former predominates.
It offers new writers a chance to showcase their work and gain peer
feedback on it. Harper Collins no longer maintain a 'slush' pile of
manuscripts, and use this site instead to find marketable writing.
Home page: http://www.authonomy.com/
You can register just to read other people's work; you don't have to
submit any of your own. There is a fascinating range of writing genres
& styles on display.
I have a work of my own in progress, my first venture into fiction
(with an educational setting) at:
http://www.authonomy.com/books/35896/millstone/
Do have a look, and leave a comment if you have the time (try chapter
7 if you are time poor at present)
Regards
