Subject: 6th European First Year Experience - abstract submission extended
- - with apologies for cross posting - -
Hi,
As a number of colleagues have noted, we had some significant problems with our University intranet site last/this week and have decided to extend our submission deadline until 12noon, 18 February 2011<x-apple-data-detectors://6>. We have already received a significant number of abstracts covering a wide range of topics, which looks like we’re in for some interesting discussions at the 6th EFYE conference.
I have been asked if it is possible to submit more than one abstract – the answer is of course! In previous conferences we have had colleagues submit paper sessions for work undertaken for some time and ‘Show and Tell’ sessions for emerging themes and activity.
The conference will run ‘back to back’ with the International FYE conference (19 -20 June 2011<x-apple-data-detectors://7>, EFYE / 21 – 24 June 2011<x-apple-data-detectors://8>, IFYE) and whilst both conferences will maintain their individual identities and cultures they will both benefit from a shared vision to support our students.
The ‘full link’ to the conference home page is:<http://www.campus.manchester.ac.uk/tlso/studentsaspartners/efye/>http://www.campus.manchester.ac.uk/tlso/studentsaspartners/efye/ - this was working as the email was sent!
We are currently finalising registration details and these will be communicated shortly but registration fees are expected to be £135 (Full Delegate), £95 (Student Delegate).
Closing date for abstracts is 18 February 2011<x-apple-data-detectors://12>.
As always, please feel free to pass this information to colleagues who have not yet experienced this highly engaging conference!
