Subject: Re: RefWorks link
Hi
I think it is important to clear up what I believe to be a misunderstanding of the announcement.
JISC are announcing a new solution called MyReferences that helps integrate RefWorks accounts into Moodle. MyReferences is an open source solution which can be downloaded and adapted to work with other learning environments. However, RefWorks is a commercial online service to which many universities subscribe on behalf of their students and staff.
My understanding is that MyReferences will only work where the user already has access to an account in RefWorks and that it is not a free solution to managing academic references.
Cheers, trevor
