Learning Development Advisor

Ref: A1152.  Salary £30594 to £35469 pa – Grade 7

The Learning Development Service at the University of Plymouth is looking for a motivated person to join the team for one year from 1st October 2009. With wide experience of teaching and supporting learning in Higher Education, you will contribute to the core aspects of the service. This includes running tutorials, responding to student messages via ‘Learn’ (our email service), teaching groups of varying sizes, working with academic staff to develop and delivering sessions on any UoP Programme to embed skills for learning, and contributing to the project and administrative work involved in the service.

You will have a strong commitment to facilitating learning, an empathy with students, relevant experience and a teaching qualification. You will have the ability to work well with others as part of a team, as well as excellent organisation and communication skills. You will be based at the Plymouth campus, but may be required to work on any of the university’s sites.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held during the last week of August 2009.
