Can I thank everyone for sharing their suggestions and practices on this topic - great to hear new ideas, but also always comforting to know that we all seem to be finding that roughly the same things work with our very diverse student communities.
It's interesting that this topic seems to attract the same problem as we found during LearnHigher research into resources for time management - there's lots out there, but little of it relates directly to the situation of university students.
Now that I have some useful suggestions for 'quick fix' links to tide us over, I'm hoping to find time over Easter to put together a study guide for our students that relates specifically to anxiety around exams. This will compliment our existing resources on exam preparation on revision planning, memory and writing exam answers (Sarah and anyone else who might find these useful - these are at http://www.reading.ac.uk/internal/studyadvice/Studyresources/sta-preparing.asp). I'll post the URL for the new guide on the list when it's done.
Thanks again to everyone who's given up their time to comment.
Kim
