Hi All
Please see Maureen's message below - and if you wish to respond, please
do so to her address rather than to the list [log in to unmask]
Maureen - a quick reply to you from me - have a look at our own 'file
area for the list' at http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/archives/ldhen.html
see the excel spreadsheet there for lots of interesting information
about LD services in various universities. See also a description of
LDHEN on the HEA website - go to the home page, then choose 'networking'
to find us there. Good luck with your research - we as a list would all
be keen to hear how you get on!
John
FORWARDED MESSAGE
My name is Maureen Preece and I am the Academic Skils Adviser at the
University of Chichester. As part of my intended research, I am trying
to gain an overall picture of what is happening in terms of Study
Skills/Academic Skills in H.E. in the UK generally, e.g. amount and
types of provision, different approaches, take up, new initiatives,
effectiveness. This is mainly related to academic/study skills for
students although I do have an interest in this skill area for staff
too.
I would be grateful for any feedback and need to produce some sort of
draft summary imminently.
Thank you,
Maureen Preece

Dear John
Thank you for info. I followed your instructions, left the list and
rejoined, checking the dot was in place after my initial. I received
confirmation that I had been accepted onto the list but when I again
tried to send my messge, I received a "rejected posting" message.
I would be really grateful if you could send the message on my behalf
as I need to get some information together very quickly to fit in with
someone else's deadline. My message reads:
