Hi Jill
It would be worth contacting Steve Wheeler (see above) in the Faculty of
Education here, on 01752 233753, as he is heading up a group interested
in students' experience of / preparation for e-learning.
All the best
John

Subject: future students' (electronic) needs
Dear Colleagues
We are currently undertaking a review of the needs of students in being
supported in their learning and other aspects of students' life, so we
can
plan our 'future' electronic provision and look for new tools for
communications and accessing resources and information if necessary. We
have done research on some aspects of our students' experience of our
current provision but before we set off to do further research on what
our
incoming students' expectations and needs might be, we are interested to
hear from anyone who has done any work looking at this 'technology
natives'
generation. Many of these young people have been largely inseparable
from
their mobile devices and Internet connections. We look forward to
hearing
about any aspect of this, or indeed thoughts about it! We are happy to
share our findings at a later date.
