I'm sure we've had this discussion about bibliography/reference list
before. We always advise students to ask their lecturers about this:
some take the view that Peter does (ie what's the point?) whilst others
don't regard a piece of work as 'academic' if there's only a ref list
and no bibliography. Unhelpfully, our guide to citing references,
produced by the library, uses the terms interchangeably.
