Kim - my initial reaction would be similar to your - don't (for health
reasons if nothing else). But assuming that there are good reasons for
the student to want to read at length from the screen, there is one
thing that can be handy. If SCANNING is appropriate to the task and
document, Word's FIND function (Edit-Find) is a boon.

I've just had a student ask me for suggestions to help with reading
long documents online. Apart from my first reaction (print it out) or
the obvious (put it in Word, make the font style, size and colour more
accessible, change the background colour of the screen, use the
highlighting function, make sure you're in good lighting), has anyone
got any brilliant tips?
